SoCLA has announced the presentation I am giving on 18th March in Adelaide:
The SA Branch of the Society of Construction Law Australia invites you to join us to discuss ‘Security of Payment: South Australian cases so far and future prospects’.
Presented by Robert Fenwick Elliott, Barrister, the session will focus on:
- What do the recent Supreme Court cases in South Australia say about how the legislation is being received in this State?
- What is the significance of the “Red Card, Yellow Card” system?
- What does the 80% quashing rate of adjudicator’s determinations by the Supreme Court tell us?
Robert will also provide an update on SoCLA’s ‘Report on Security of Payment and Adjudication in the Australian Construction Industry’, which is soon to be submitted to the Australian Law Reform Subcommittee.
Attached is a copy of your invitation with the relevant details.
The function will be held be hosted by Piper Alderman on Tuesday, 18 March 2014 from 5:15pm – 7:00pm.
Please RSVP as soon as you can but no later than 11 March 2014 so that we can confirm numbers. The RSVP contact details are also shown on the attached invite.
We look forward to seeing you there.
